Getting pre-qualified will greatly help your journey to homeownership, so here are some things you should gather to get the process started:

  • One full month of the most recent paycheck stubs
  • W2’s and/or 1099’s for the past two years
  • If self-employed, you will need your complete personal and business tax returns for the past two years. This includes all schedules, statements, K1’s etc.
  • Two most recent credit union / bank statements
  • One-year rental agreement for investment properties
  • If divorced, complete signed divorce decree
  • Photo identification
  • Deposit to lender for appraisal (average cost is $300-450 depending on the size of home, value of the property and condition of the property)
  • Copy of Homeowners Insurance declaration page for each property

This checklist will hopefully jumpstart your journey to pre-approval. If you have any questions about these items or the loan process please contact us at 801-399-9728
