    Responsibilities

    How You’ll Contribute:

    • Build trust with our members by delivering service in alignment with our Service Promises
    • Speak with members and identify opportunities to better their finances
    • Accurately process financial transactions
    • Take deposits, make loan payments, and process withdrawals
    • Act as an effective source of information for our members in lobby, drive-thru window, or by telephone

    • Research, troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries
    • Take on special projects and new responsibilities as directed by the branch manager

    Ascent Credit Union is looking for a full-time skills trainer to focuses on transferring knowledge and skills to bridge ability gaps. When not training, this person will work on projects, administer systems, and fill in for other employees at various locations to serve members and keep skills sharp.

    Responsibilities

    How You’ll Contribute:

    • Coordinate, prepare, and conduct training sessions
    • Design and update training material with the help of subject matter experts, manuals, and self-directed learning
    • Conduct one-on-one, group sessions, and occasional credit-wide training
    • Deliver systems training, sales and service techniques, and product knowledge training
    • Assist new and current employees
    • Assist members from a variety of locations, as needed and time permits
    Qualifications

    • Answer incoming calls and messages, determines the needs of the caller and verify the caller’s identity, minimizing the caller’s time and effort in resolving their concern
    • Identify products/services that might be beneficial to members and provide information about their value and benefit
    • Assist members with using online banking and resolving issues that arise. This includes helping the member with settings on the member’s computer or device. Additionally, walk members through problems, train them on software updates, and respond to questions about online banking.
    • Perform teller functions for members (i.e. transfer funds between accounts and/or loans, stop payments, close and reorder debit cards, provide balances and review recent transactions, process loan or credit card payments, etc.) to assure member needs are addressed in a polite and friendly manner. Cross-sell eBranch and ePay services and assist members in setting up eBranch enrollment and understanding the e-statement process.
    • Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the collections department and branch managers in fulfilling member requests and merchant verifications.
    Qualifications

    • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in communicating with members, coworkers, and people outside the credit union
