We are pleased to share that the merger between Ascent Credit Union and Goldenwest Credit Union is now officially complete, and we are legally merged as one organization as of June 1, 2026. This is not to be confused with the systems merger that will not take place until November 1, 2026.
Over the next couple of months, members can expect to receive important updates by mail and email regarding any upcoming changes to products, services, systems, or account access. While many things will remain familiar, some updates and enhancements will occur as we continue integrating our operations and expanding the services available to you.
We encourage members to watch their mailbox and inbox carefully to ensure they stay informed about key dates, updates, and any actions that may be required.
You should be receiving a printed Merger Guide in mid to late September that will provide all information necessary for a smooth transition at systems merge.

As part of the legal merger, we are pleased to announce that Ascent Credit Union members are now eligible to opt into the Goldenwest Credit Union President’s Club. While this is similar to our VIP Club, the key differences are highlighted in the table below. Until 10/31/2026, the ONLY benefit eligible to Ascent members will be the 0.25% APY bump on new CDs. After 11/1/2026, all benefits will be available to those who qualify and opt into the President’s Club.
The VIP Club program will remain in place for Ascent members through 10/31/2026 with no changes. Members who qualify for both the Ascent VIP Club and the Goldenwest President’s Club may not receive both bumps on new CD rates.
