Description

Our Help Center is the go-to place for answers at the credit union whether it’s for employees or members. This team is well rounded and skilled in the basic operations of the credit union.

Ascent Credit Union is looking for a full-time Help Center Rep to assist employees with information and member with basic transactions, answers to account questions, and credit union product and service recommendations by phone, email, and through online banking to save or make credit union members more money.

How You Will Contribute
  • Complete basic accounting and clerical duties
  • Research and resolve errors and discrepancies
  • Review work to ensure accuracy
  • Assists the Accounting Department with auditing address changes, dormant accounts, account file maintenance, etc.to ensure accuracy
  • Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed
  • Assist members with using online banking and resolving issues that arise
  • Answer incoming calls and messages to determine the needs of the caller and verify the caller’s identity
  • Identify products/services that might be beneficial to members and provide information about their value and benefit
  • Perform teller functions for members (i.e. transfer funds between accounts and/or loans, stop payments, close and reorder debit cards, provide balances and review recent transactions, process loan or credit card payments, etc.) to assure member needs are addressed in a polite and friendly manner. Cross-sell eBranch and ePay services and assist members in setting up eBranch enrollment and understanding the e-statement process

  • Initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instruction, but refer deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the supervisor for a decision or help
  • Recommendations and input when bringing issues to the supervisor
Necessary Experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent

The following will increase the applicant’s potential for hire:

  • Experience working at a bank or credit union as a teller or similar position
  • Experience and background in the retail industry
