Skills Trainer
Description

Ascent Credit Union is looking for a full-time skills trainer to focuses on transferring knowledge and skills to bridge ability gaps. When not training, this person will work on projects, administer systems, and fill in for other employees at various locations to serve members and keep skills sharp.

How You Will Contribute
  • Coordinate, prepare, and conduct training sessions
  • Design and update training material with the help of subject matter experts, manuals, and self-directed learning
  • Conduct one-on-one, group sessions, and rare credit union-wide training
  • Deliver systems training, sales and service techniques, and product knowledge training
  • Assist new and current employees
  • Assist members from a variety of locations, as needed and time permits
What You Will Bring
  • Enthusiasm and energy for helping members and coworkers
  • Sharp communication skills in listening, courtesy, tact, and diplomacy
  • Strong teamwork abilities such as involving supervisors in your work, sharing what you are working on, what progress has been made, and what hurdles you are facing
  • Effective effort and resource management
  • A minimum of 18 months of teller or higher position experience
  • A strong recommendation from current/former supervisors
  • Willingness to complete necessary certification requirements and to develop presentation, writing, and relationship building skills
