Payment Services Specialist
Description

Payment Services handles all ACH and card transactions, ensuring accurate and timely payments. This team is has in-depth knowledge of all things payments.

How You Will Contribute
  • Respond to department specific questions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform file and/or transaction maintenance, including tracking and updating information.
  • Research and resolve member, vendor and internal issues by adjusting processes as appropriate.
  • Manage multiple systems with various processing functions and deadlines.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal associates assisting members regarding payment/deposits.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues with minimal direction.
  • Manage and administer daily ACH, Draft, BillPay, and home banking batch posting and balancing processes.
  • Perform tasks including branch capture, ATM / Mobile Deposit adjustments and check returns.
  • Manage and administer all areas of VISA card processing, fraud claims resolution, card provisioning and card maintenance.
  • Interface with internal/ external members to resolve member account problems and inquiries.
  • Back-up in all other areas of the Payment Services Department as needed.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in the financial industry required with an emphasis on check or ACH payments preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Customer service or administrative experience
  • Ability to independently handle a variety of responsibilities simultaneously and be able to prioritize those tasks
  • Be detail-oriented while employing the organization service standards and promises.
  • Ability to establish interpersonal relationships for the purpose of exchanging technical, important or sensitive information and exhibit tact and diplomacy.
  • Must have the ability to operate desk top computer and associated peripheral equipment, and use Credit Union software programs as necessary.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical and reasoning skills are required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
